If someone more “known” like Common made this song, it would be widely considered one of the best rap songs ever. It should be anyways. Damn shame Median never popped a bit bigger - he was so dope and this song is incredible. Median every bit as good as the J. Cole’s and the like, maybe better. Joel Salmi Dude remember when it comes to music its all about energy. So if your outside in the day this wont be so bumping but if your by yourself its diffrent. This song has more of a negative vibe (not saying i hate it or anything)so when you bump it around other people it will drop everyones energy. Of course theyll say "wtf is this?". You have be 1 on 1 with them and show them the song. Remember man music has energies and speaks on its own so u have to be careful. They prob have a bad taste in music also though i wouldve been like "yo this is sick" because i love music.But i wouldve asked to change it because it sparks a sort of negative vibe in me and makes me super mellow but i need high energy when im around people. Man I've had this beat in my head for years...popping up here and there, but I couldn't remember who it was. 'Bout say 15 years ago I was always checking out underground hip-hop (there was a site then) and this beat was one that really stuck out. So glad I found it again...A real f*in gem up there with the likes of J-Dilla, Nujabes, and other shit I can't think of right now. Anyways just ordered Median's Relief on CD from Canada to get a real copy of this...so worth preservation. If I had my own rap station I'd lead with this track 'bout every time. Production: man go on whosampled and listen to the original music he created this beat from and it's mind blowing...such a short sample and using pitch shift/overdubs/idk wtf he made this beat and it is tremendous. Median is on point from a widely distributed Justus League torrent which may or may not be still available, but includes tons of great music I recall from Foreign Exchange, Little Brother, Cesar Comanche, many others and tons of 9th Wonder beats). You gotta respect the golden era vibes here and timelessness of what they put down. It'll never grow old for me. This is the best 9th wonder beat for me followed by "Slippin'" & "No Comparison" off Chemistry with Buckshot.
