Tto add to what Sekhri said about how language and culture confines the impact, being from Kerala, political satire is a common day to day normal thing here, there are daily half n hour political satire programs on all channels that take on PM and CM and who's who of the establishment, all stand up and mimicry artists mock politicians at will here. May be because the sanghi people aren't much influential here yet. I may be able to relate to what these guys fear about when are get in power.

The lady was open faced but not impressive... followed by Das, Ashish, and Pal who at least articulated their ideas well... the anchor was good... the one on the extreme left tried hard to come across as a super intellectual... fell terribly flat... does not even speak proper english... even his hindi is so supercilious... The best of the indian lot in this genre is none of these elites (as one of these guys refers to themselves ... how about that) but the guy who does mr Modi's voice... Shyam Rangeela... and his ilk.. he does the best humor/comedy/satire... not these who are constantly deriding someone or other... derision is not satire... that is why you have to keep count of FIR... subtle barbs are more like satire... there needs to be a lot of subtlety and polish to these peoples' acts.... till then even Kapil Sharma is far far better than any of you....

@@amriteshmishra2676 So sorry to disappoint you... i am a hindi medium type... i began my schooling in a central govt run school...with a syllabus that made us learn geography...and history in hindi - therefore i am pundit enough to comment :-) i am a big fan of the hindi language (shuddha hindi only please not the tv stuff like - hum middal class se belong karthe hain type :-)...) and hindi speakers like even NaMo... TV poets like kumar vishwas and other regulars as well as someone like Vajpeyee... therefore please don't beat that drum...
