Dr. Natalia recommends that in the tropical areas of Colombia it is necessary to be aware of and prevent these diseases by sleeping with a mosquito net, use repellent with deet and get vaccinated before traveling.

Not sure if you know the answer to this but I've currently been in Brazil for the past 2 months and going back to Mexico City but taking a connecting flight from Bogota to Mexico City and not sure if I need a yellow fever vaccine or not. The lay-over is only 4 hours in Bogota. Not sure if I need the yellow fever vaccine or not and if I need to fill out that check-mig forum.

According to WHO (world health organization) 2016 rankings, which ranks national health systems around the world: Canada-37, USA, 35, Colombia-25, Colombia is also ahead of some European countries like Germany. In terms of top 40 medical institutions in Latin America, Colombia has 25 out of the top 40 medical institutions, more than Brazil and Mexico, who are larger countries.

I’m visiting Colombia July 16th - 25th from Australia. My fears are landing in Bogotá and being put into self quarantine due to Coronavirus fears or the border being closed off due to COVID-19! I hope all this blows over soon as I can’t wait to see Colombia!
