If you are looking for reliable information on the effect that private equity has on healthcare, you should look elsewhere. This “interview” is nothing more than a veiled advertisement, and seems to purposely avoid even hinting at any of the obvious problems that arise when profit become the sole motive behind providing healthcare. This piece is worse than useless. It is misleading, and not reflective of even the most basic concerns held by the majority of healthcare providers when considering private equity.

Anyone who thinks profits have a place in healthcare is a greedy sociopath.

Literally the first sentence and he’s already spewing BS. Private equity (Bain Capital) bought out the dialysis company I work for (Satellite Healthcare), and the technology has gotten worse, not better. I wonder why? Does profit play a part? Thanks Mitt Romney, cofounder of Bain Capital!
