New technology unnerves me because I think it exaggerates already-existing power imbalances in society. With advanced technology, the powerful people in society may no longer need the rest of us, and thus will no longer need to appease us. Artificial scarcity could be enforced, limiting access to the technological advances based on whether the powerful find certain segments of society desireable or not. In theory, technology could be used for good, but I've seen too many times in history that technology has been used by the powerful to oppress the powerless.

You can just add to your prompt, "Please cite your references in AMA format." I tried that (but used APA 7 format instead) and it gave the references that way.
