I am studying to become a health insurance agent and I am a visual learner and hands on learner. Are there any videos that help with that type of learning? I have a packet I am reading but I want to retain the information I am reading as well, but unsure as to where to start with this. Do you have any videos that teach some of what is on the test?

I have not been through them all yet but a lot I have watched. I’ll continue to look more. I did get some good information on the act out for the Medicare supplement which helped me understand what I was reading.

I am a Medicare Advantage Customer Service Rep helping people over the phone with questions regarding their insurance. I am 59 years old. I am thinking of become a licensed agent selling Medicare plans now and into my retirement. Is it realistic at this late stage to make the switch? I see more flexibility and the opportunity for PT work, am I correct?

Great stuff.... I don't understand how you can sell them the same product for less. Who takes the hit on the premium and why?

Well it’s not exactly that someone takes a hit. Obviously the old ins company would no longer be receiving premium and the new company would. Like I said non video this is all regulated by Medicare so the coverage is exactly the same. The reason there is sometimes big differences in premium has much to do with how each company underwrites and prices each product as well as timing. For example, most of the time when a new company comes to market with a supplement, they are one of the cheapest but then also many times the fall down the list over time.
