I found quetiapine was amazing for me mentally but made me gain 3st in 6months so stopped taking that and now trying sodium valprorate. Thanks for the informative vids it's nice to hear opinions from a genuine person ☺

No worries! Quetiapine is known to put weight on 😒 but I'm glad you have access to medications that work for you!!

@@mentalhealthwithalana Yes it was one of the main side effects mentioned before starting quetiapine, I just hoped it didn't affect my weight haha fingers crossed sodium valproate works for me without the weight gain. Hope you're doing good, you seem like a lovely lady.

love your channel💗 btw the rash is can come from lamictal (although rare) not abilify. abilify can cause something called akathisia though

Thanks for your video. I am trying to learn more. I have bi polar and take sodium valproate. It seems to be help keep moods stable. I was given olanzopine but I don’t like that one so stopped taking. So I’ll see how I go with just the valproate
