Medicine Park, Oklahoma

Our initial interest in Medicine Park was in staying at the Plantation Inn, a unique lodging built on the foundation of the Oklahoma Press Club, and its proximity to the Wichita Mountains. Once we arrived, we found it to be a fascinating little town that hosts regular folk music gatherings. Its architecture has a unusual feel, thanks to a local geologic phenomenon we couldn't help but dig into. Discovering both an outfitters and a river walk the length of the community sealed our enjoyment of our overnight stay.
