This confirms my suspicions of my doctor: A few years ago I had an infected spider bite on my back that I'd thought was a pulled muscle until I looked at it a week after it had begun to hurt. I had an 8cm black & purple raised bruise with pus forming in it. When I went to my doctor, he drained it *(& was furious with me bc he got some on his pretty, white lab coat!)* & took a swab to send to the lab. I'd already started to have a fever, but he refused to begin me on a course of antibiotics "just yet. We have to wait & see what, if any cultures grow." Uh huh. My only sibling had just passed away & I was anxiously waiting for these results. Five days later I called the lab & it was confirmed: *I'm a HUMAN BEING!* With all that pus, my doctor was SO worried about his stupid fancy lab coat that he somehow managed to miss getting ANY sample of the PUS. The lab said my results were, *"epithelial cells"! That was ALL.* I am in a VERY bad financial situation, and I have NO help, so had made a clay poultice & applied it with a toilet paper bandage held on with masking tape that hung on to a wall, then backed up into to get it onto my back. I went to a DIFFERENT doctor & she MARVELED at my ingenuity & cleverness and took a PROPER SWAB, and even prescribed me antibiotics while I waited for the labs to come back!. Phew. A few hours after being home, I decided to take a look at my back & see what she had done. Imagine my SHOCK when I discovered that she had *put. back. on. my. toilet. paper. pus. filled. masking. tape. bandage!* I REALLY thought I was being PUNK'D. I stood in my bathroom looking for hidden cameras. I turned every which way staring at my BACK in disbelief. This COULD NOT be REAL. Doctors in 3rd World Countries do NOT do this! To DOGS. She literally put BACK ON my toilet paper, pus filled bandage! Just WHO does this? I have Calif. state Medi-Cal insurance, so I have to go where they tell me to. But WHO hires doctors like THIS? It's scary, but at least I know I'm a human. "Epithelial Cells", yay, me. Thank You SO Much for your videos & your sense of humor! I've learned a lot from you.

Why is skin considered an organ? We don't consider bones or muscles to be organs so why skin?
@MedicosisPerfectionalis Жыл бұрын
An organ is a collection of tissues. Muscles and bones are organs too. Not every organ is a visceral organ.
