Favorite amp? Haven’t played a lot of tube amps. I loved the Super Reverb I played back in early 70s. Big contributed to my tinnitus, though. Recently bought a Mesa Fillmore 25, and I’m loving it. Great clean tone, and am finding some good tones on the drive channel. The master volumes let me play at home, too.

Professor Alice, what happens when an area destined to have houses built on it is found to have ancient relics in the ground? Is the housing excavation cancelled completely as the area is of historic importance?
@HannibalFan522 ай бұрын
The possible use of the antlers found at Star Carr make me think of the Abbots Bromley Horn Dance. Could that possibly be descended from a similar shamanistic tradition? It's a long shot, I admit. In the 1984 version of 'The Box of Delights', Glyn Baker wore a 'cap' of deer antlers in his role as Herne the Hunter.

You need a factory to make that stuff and you need to pay them to get an article.

@@myparceltape1169 To what are you referring? There have been factories as far back as the Romans, and probably a good deal longer.
@myparceltape116920 күн бұрын
@HannibalFan52 I think this one would have been much earlier than Rome was founded. You are bound to have heard of Imperial Purple. We know that it was made from a particular type of seashell. Because we have found the piles of these discarded shells we know where it was made. There was nothing about it to do with shamanic ritual. It was trade.

What would the population have been during that time period in the country? How did so many different peoples around the country be so well traveled way back in the day? It is pretty amazing how far they traveled. And really a small numbers of people in a group. UK seems so diverse of people from other countries moving and living there from the beginning.

I disagree with this Archaeologist , I feel the relics were buried by the owner to prevent then being stolen by the Vikings, and the owner likely succumbed to the Germanic/Viking invaders, and thus, never able to dig up their precious items. Later, the Standing Stones get referenced to 5th Century they very well could be far older, considering the Orkny Island finds and also the details of Gobleki Tepe, being circa 11,000 BCE
