MEDIEVAL CITY in France - LAON daytrip from Center Parcs Lac d'Ailette - One day in Laon, Picardie

We went to Center Parcs Lac d'Ailette in the north of France for a weekend. This Center Parcs is close to the medieval city of Laon.
Laon is completely surrounded by a wall and has 3 fortified gates, the perfect daytrip ! It's not far from Paris either, so you can easily make a daytrip from Paris by train.

Yes, stationed at Crécy-Couvron as an American military family in the early sixties, I F I N A L L Y returned to my childhood home near Laon, in 2019. ✔️👍🏼
