I used to learn Renaissance dance from Helga Hill, so glad to see their work isn’t gone even after Helga and Mark retired!

The music is medieval, but the dance was created by members of the Society for Creative Anachronism. It has become traditional among reenactors, but it is 20th century traditional.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. We credited the Lithuanian dance group in our description, as that is where we first saw this dance. I agree, as there is no existing choreography from the medieval period, any modern interpretations of medieval dances have to be considered as such.

I am from a whole different area where medieval times means ... The era of sultan. But still this hits different
