A vert good way to gain survival points/xp is to gather all the berries you can find during summer, it gives the least in terms of xp but the patches you find are usually pretty large and abundant, also shrooms give a lot of exp and if you need money they sell for quite a modest price in bulk.

It takes 1000 production technology just to unlock a basic bread recipe. BREAD! Not a spaceship, bread. I'm 14 hours in and have 96 production tech points, and I have the technology gain rate set slightly higher than normal.
@HecticNasari
@HecticNasari 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, bread is not a spaceship, but all recipes are locked behind a point system and bread is more of a mid game recipe, just like Pies, Juice and Wine are a late game recipes. At 14 hours of gameplay, you will not be close to mid game yet. Production points come from crafting items, not from hours spent in the game. I have a 2000 Coins 1st Day video kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZoLYq2t3hq1ji8U showing how to get a great start in the game and get much needed coins and items. By following this guide it will help you gain production points (along with other tech points) and get you in the mind set to make more coins (and tech points) each season. I state in many of my early game guides to take your time and not to rush the game. This is not one of those games where you rush to get to the end game so you can get the awesome loot and start fighting the end game bosses. This is a survival, stratagy, city-building and balance-management game with some good storylines. Feel free to check out my Tips playlist for more helpful tips kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqTbZKxrfb2tq7s You can also join my discord (link in the description of every video) where myself and others are willing to help you on your journey. Happy Hunting 😉

@@HecticNasari I just think it's a bit unrealistic that a simple loaf of bread, that I could actually bake right now irl, takes years to unlock. I could understand why more complex recipes, like potions and intricate meals would have such a high requirement, but bread? It's a bad design choice, and not the first one in this game.

@@esteemedyams I do understand your point of view and I agree to some extent. However, as much as I enjoy discussing this game and it's mechanics. I feel that a discussion like this would be better suited over on the Toplitz discord. I am just a content creator and have nothing to do with the development process of this game. At least over on thier discord they have special channels designed just for suggestions like your and there is a greater chance that the right people will see it. The actual people that can do something about it. The second best place for your suggestions would be the games Steam community site. I do appreciate you taking the time to watch my video and sharing your thoughts with me, and I hope you contine to watch my channel. Even if it is not for this game. Thank you

I believe it would be the same either way. When I sell stuff I tend to sell it in bulk. I would not waste the time selling 1 item at a time unless it is a very high-dollar item and I only crafted one of them.

How do you get your animals to breed ???? i have had pigs and chickens for 2 to 3 years now and there is no babies. I cant see a way to get the mail to mate with the female and no option to get the person looking after them to choose breeding as an option.
@HecticNasari

The animal building needs to have a worker assigned to it and you need to make sure there is always animal feed available in the resource storage. Then of course make sure you have a male and female of each animal you want to breed. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, you completely forgot to mention that your villagers can be an enormous help in collecting technology points. They receive the same amount of technology points for all tasks as you do. So, especially in farming, it pays to have NPCs do most of the work. Technology points are awarded for all farming activities, even for those that you cannot do as a player, such as collecting eggs and feathers from geese and chickens. Granted, NPCs are slower than you. On the other hand, they can work in all categories at the same time, and therefore they will end up being superior to you in collecting technology points. You can only do one job at a time. Of course, you should continue to do that, but meanwhile, NPCs can still collect a lot of extra points in all imaginable areas at the same time. So you reach the technology goals much faster and it feels much less tedious. You can explore the world, trade and do quests, in short, take care of the important things, while at home your workers do all the basic supply tasks for you in the village and unlock the technologies on the side. This is really an enormously significant point of in-game knowledge, which you unfortunately don't mention with a single word in your video. It would be much easier to level up tech points if players knew that NPCs receive the same number of points as the player for all tasks. I would consider this video being helpful if you would at least have mentioned this important fact. As it is, it's just another collection of "tips" on how to grind your way up in the game. Sad.

Worth mentioning - all of your peeps in village give u xp passively for all different tech/skills depending on what they do. Its still better do to it yourself as they do not receive your boost perks, but its hard to get it all done alone ;) Additionally worth mentioning is that Iron axe is 3hits per Tree - before going to grind the forest for all day with stone one. Oh and digging the Stump with shovel gives additional log and xp (Tree won't grow back tho)

@@HecticNasari yeah i know man, this game is too huge to just remember them all. But there are some actually obvious ones which i didn't know and helped me a lot - for instance do not pair your peeps, 1 House -1 person. No maternity leave, no kids blocking doors, no more workless faces to feed ;))) and u need to build damn Houses anyway to buildup technology. Oh and what i was struggling the most tbh - i wanted stables as fast cuz getting a Horse makes game so cool, easy and much faster. I had pretty cool Village and still 1k Farming tech to grind. Couldnt find any proper guide Anywhere to speed it up a bit - and believe me grubbing a field for 0.2 xp to get 1k ain't Worth it lol :P also u shd speed up building tech to get a mine asap, rest is not that prior - u can enjoy the game while getting the rest.

Now im focusing on 5k crafting tech for tavern3 so i Craft everything everywhere, calculating between less Craft time vs biggest xp boost per craft and lowest material price. Its crazy how that game forced me to do math again haha. Oh and what i noticed which was big for me - when u start crafting before seasonend u can Craft untill u finish - so u can start at 23:50 (10mins game time before season end) and no time goes by - game will teleport u to bed when u finish crafting ! So u save alot of game time/Years that way. Just remember to not die cuz of hunger lol. i remember making like thousands of things that way - 23:50 and boom 2k wooden spoons. just bare in Mind i did not check if crafting Experience points are Rising properly that way - they should i believe. Oh and do not use thay method for Tavern, food will lose alot of nutrition over season and since you are teleported right after crafting Ends u have no time to put it Into food storage.

It has been brought to my attention that some of my testings are slightly inaccurate. So, I went back and retested these things to see where I went wrong. I'll be talking about specifically crafting Firewood in Racimir's Personal Crafting Wheel. When I did this type of testing, I created a brand new game and picked up the first quest "Chapter 1 - A new beginning", I then collected stones and sticks to craft the stone axe, chopped down a tree outside Gostovia to get the needed log. Then I checked the points I collected which were: Extraction Skill 0.5 Production Skill 0.0 Building Technology 0.0 Production Technology 0.0. These are the numbers that my video represented (sadly I wrote the Extraction Skill figure in the wrong location on my notes). Once the discrepancy was called out on the video, I went back to see where my figures were wrong. So, I retested a brand new game and the figures were the same as above. However, when I tested the figures on an existing game, they came out different. Extraction Skill 0.5 Production Skill 0.0 Building Technology 0.1 Production Technology 0.0. So, it looks like you do not gain Building Technology points until the first quest "Chapter 1 - A new beginning" is complete. I want to sincerely apologize for this mistake and I will do my best to make sure future videos are triple-checked. Thank you, Nas

Make wooden spoons bro, or bowls if u have lot of logs. Also good way is to do some linencloths, threads and then cloth pants if u got big flax plantation ;) also wooden bolts for crossbows - only sticks&feathers to craft (not sure about exp but money is great) that's they ways i got it. But if u at early Game i guess focus on knives
@HecticNasari
@HecticNasari 3 жыл бұрын
It depends on where you are in the game and what you have available to you. Basically crafting most anything in bulk is going to help raise your crafting points. I tend to like to make knives, wooden spears in the early game. If you have the workshop you can focus on making bowls or plates. All of these will make you some decent coin as well because you're crafting a lot. So gather up materials then on the last day of the season, you can pick one to craft and do a mass crafting session. This way you don't lose any time in-game and once you are done auto crafting, the game will port you to your bed, and then the season will change. Just make sure you are full on hunger and thirst. Hope this helps

My game style was - screw the quests until a horse (i really don't like running around on foot Across entire map) that was a huge mistake, some quests reward you with ALOT of technology xp of different categories. U can bassically abandon the ones that give u just dynasty rep - u lose almost nothing for not completing them, and tbh what is that dynasty for anyway lol

@@chareck8912 Dynasty reputation is needed to be able to recruit more villagers, and higher rep is also needed to build high level buildings. A bit of off topic but made some moneygrind calculations you can use on your future materials for New Players: Ok I've calculated it 10x10 flax field (100squares) gives you 1k flax after harvest, which gives u after working it @barn 1k grain and 1k flax stalks 1flax grain is 8gold, u leave yourself 100for Planting the field next season, 900 is for sale = 7200k Gold 1k flax stalks 8g each so 8k gold But if u want to get less gold but gain alot of crafting tech you should: 1k flax stalks = 100linen threads @sewing station (u can sell all straight away ofc, 1 is 40gold = 4kgold) Or to maximize crafting tech exp you should create out of all of that threads 25 pants (2linen thread + 1linen fabric) Therefore u should create 25 linen fabrics from 50threads and then 25 pants - 25fabrics, 50threads. 1pants - 140gold so 25= 3500gold So basically 100fields or flax = 15200gold from raw Materials or 10700gold and descent amount of crafting technology exp. And what do u need to invest for that field in early game is 100 seeds (1200g) and 100 fertilizers (600g) or 200 manures which is cheaper = 480g) So to start u need 1800 or 1680gold and then u gonna have seeds so just worry about fertilizer if u don't have Pigs yet ;) Either way the profit is enormous To note - all calculations were made on barter perk 3/3 and the farming perk i forgot the name (the one that u harvest more crops) And i suppose its gonna be nerfed since I've never seen so much money and I've spend alot of game hours in that game - for me there is no better way to become rich.

there was a change to how diplomacy skill points are gained since this video was made. Diplomacy skill points are gained by completing quests (Main, story & side) also by selling items to a vendor.
