In the Middle Ages, clothing will become gendered. Influenced by Arab fashion discovered during the Crusades, women flourished in flowing dresses. After the Hundred Years War, clothing businesses multiplied; weavers, tailors, doublet makers and embroiderers organized themselves into corporations. In the 15th century, laws appeared to limit clothing extravagance.
