Man it is so cool to find an old game like that still in shrink. I totally get your comment about wanting to be the first person to open it and touch the components. I’ve had the same experience with some of the older war games I’ve picked up for nostalgia value.

On some of the war game groups I lurk on they are like “don’t open that game if it’s still in shrink you lose the value!” All the while I’m like…the heck with it, games are meant to be played not sit collecting dust in shrink. Just my $.02. 😊

I will admit, at times I do treasure an unopened copy of something rare. But typically only if I have an additional copy that I can play, or if I have no interest in playing it for whatever reason.
