Right before you said it, I thought to myself that Malebolgia looked like some kind of demented muppet. In 1995 I probably would have been scared of him, b/c I was 7 at the time, but he doesn't have the same effect on 35 year old me. I remember finding the very first wave of Spawn figures when they came out, and I found all of them at Toys R Us. I was so excited until I got them home and opened them. All were fine except for Overtkill... As soon as I took him out of the packaging, I stood him on the end table near the couch, and he simply fell over... and broke into about 5 or 6 pieces! His head and arms came off, his torso split in half... What a mess! lol

We were spoiled growing up. As you said we had a ton of stores to look for action figures. We also had the best shows and movies. I'll die in this hill. Jim Henson's creature shop is far superior to even the best CGI. Nowadays we have websites to buy figures off of if we can't find them in stores. Those of us that doesn't travel for work.

I was 11 when spawn first appeared on my Kmart toy pegs and I thought they were the coolest. My family has always been a horror and gore type so he fit right in. I still have a McFarlane Frankensteins monster playset sealed from I think 96' but what is time as we say
