One thing I would recommend (unless I’ve missed it somewhere) is a list of all paints used either in the video, comments, or description. It makes things so much easier to compile

I would also really like to know the color and brand of the pigment paint.
@3Xero32 ай бұрын
Here's what he uses in the video, but you can really use and brand of color you think will look good: 1. Black primer (Chaos Black-Citadel?) Followed by a 3-tone gray drybrush - Skavenblight Dinge, Dawnstone, Grey Seer (Citadel Color). 2. Contrast paints for colors. Blood Angels Red, Black Templar, Apothecary White, Skeleton Horde, Warp Lightning (Citadel Contrast) 3. Weathering effects Drybrush Leadbelcher (Citadel) Weathering powder (unknown brand) 4. Walkways Drybrush Leadbelcher

Dry pigments are a godsend for doing probably the easiest blends known to man. Then, if you varnish over it, and go again, you can get even smoother blends. Your terrain looks really simple, but it really pops - great job! Only thing I'd have changed is not using a red pigment - it looks great, but is a pretty rare dust effect - I'd have gone a mix of browns and blacks, as that also makes it easier to "fit in" with a larger variety of terrain boards and mats :)

I love to paint terrain, find it much more relaxed than painting miniatures. But I also want to get it on the table as soon as possible so I paint it very simply first so it looks perfectly fine on the table, I dry brushing with Ryza Rust and Leadbelcher for my Necromunda terrain, but then I paint all the details when i have time. So some parts are more painted than others, but for me it doesn't matter too much

Great video showing how quick scenery can be 🙂 If you were looking for a cream colour for the walls would you go with black undercoat still? Or maybe a brown to start dry brushing from?

Absolutely. Just practise with the drybrushing. remember to start with very little on the brush. Always easier to add more then try and take away existing paint.

Great tutorial, but my recommendation to anyone looking to paint their terrain is do NOT use miniature paints. This is where craft paints are a perfect solution, they're a fraction of the price for a much larger bottle and their drawbacks when it comes to painting minis are a non-issue when it comes to terrain.
@MediocreHobbies3 ай бұрын
I know what you’re saying but I’m not going to tell people to get a whole new set of paints for one project like this and have a load of wasted paint left over. People can use what they already have or will use again for Warhammer models and with dry brushing /the minimal details in this tutorial, you don’t use a lot of paint anyway.
