First of all, must we mount a patient' casts to the articulator before doing the splint? I mean that it is an important step to find a measurement of the splint's thick? Is it right? Thank you.

Thank you for the comment. The default thickness of Splint in Medit Splint app is 1.5mm but for more accurate result, we do take CR bite. I'm having a problem with the "Outline Designation Mode" step. The green balls are not being editable. I imported the scan into Medit Link using Straumann's Virtuo Vivo scanner. Could you advise me on what I can do to correct this error?

It's hard to pin point the cause from your description.

The new(ish) retention slider is not featured in this video. I've been using medit to create lower anterior bite splints but the retention slider seems to be engage a percentage of the patient's undercuts instead of engaging a specific measurement on a slider. (0.1-0.5mm, etc) Can you confirm or deny this is how the retention slider works? Is it just X% of the patient's undercuts that will be engaged? This makes it very inconsistent and hard for me to get the fit feeling nice patient-to-patient as the CAD operator. My fits are extremely consistent using a software like inLab 22, but Medit's retention slider I haven't quite fully understood. I even scanned and designed a few for myself, but I fear that *my* retention numbers are not going to fit the same on another patient. Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The unit is in mm. So, the maximum retention you can set will be 1mm. And regarding inconsistency of splint production, I'd rather do more tests on the material or 3DP settings. Because as you might know, the CAD is running based on fixed codes and numbers. Let me add more infos regarding the splint parameter meanings in few days. Thanks.

Can you add a sports mouth guard app as well ? Design upper and lower arch set the distance and auto merge both splints. Most of the code is in the splint app anyway
