I’ve been really into hardcore lately, especially stuff like Expire, 100 Demons, Trapped Under Ice, Drain, and Pain of Truth. I haven’t listened to Cloud Rat but I believe I was planning on doing that, thanks for the reminder! I’ve heard really good things about them

His Hero Is Gone and Infest gave me the punk itch. Now I'm all in. Edit, yeah all the punks I've kicked it with seem to like burzum and dark throne while the metal heads are... a little more just stuck in metal

@@stifle1622 Hell yeah, hardcore is a really fun genre to get into. I was definitely a lot more into metal and then got into punk later. That metal adjacent stuff is definitely good for getting metalheads into punk, a lot of the crust punk is pretty tied with grind and all those subgenres. I fucking love His Hero is Gone. I’m not sure why but most punks I’ve met are into a wider variety of genres than metalheads. Most people I’ve met have been pretty open minded to everything, but I’ve met more punks who liked metal than metalheads who like punk

That's the metalhead look. This is gold and most of it accurate. Only times you see metalheads in the sun is when they're at an open air festival. Also I'm very much sure I've recognise some of the lads in the video from such festivals where evening activities is heavy drinking and bin jousting.

New metalhead for like 1-2 years, today 14th June I turned 23 and got into more Extreme Metal genres, I usually, like 10 years ago, used to listen to Punk Rock, Pop Punk, Hard Rock and only Metal classics, basically I love all sorts of Rock! Kinda sad that I wasn't born one and that I needed to find my hobbies by myself only but I guess fate wants me to love Metal, started growing hair for more than 1 year and getting money to build my battle-jacket and concerts! 🤟

@@saintgeorge6456 well, groups were already formed and hardly anyone teaches you something and if you suck like at a game, sport etc, you can't play, if you don't listen to a specific music, you can't hangout with others and Metal has its fans and all but it's a hated music genre, especially in Romania, where every old lady (and there's a shitload of them) will think you worship Satan with this music... I loved lots of rock as a teen but not really straight up Extreme Metal, concerts were barely made and in other cities

I can't agree with the "not washing their hair" part. They take really great care of their hair. They may look dirty as whole but I have never been around smelly metal head. I feel perfectly safe at metal concert in contrast with any other event that incl. many people. I am trusting metal heads more then any other group of music fans.

I have a lot of metal head mates they are suuuper chill not pretending to be scary but just perceived that way by some people you do get some with the faux I’m a tough metal head exterior but usually they are sweethearts
