Great video! I've been ujsing Delta for 35 years - superb film. The negative size on medium format means that you can get away with the slightly coarser grain that you'll have with a 400asa film compared with a 100asa film. Faster shutter speeds and easier handholding - not that you'd want to do too much handheld stuff with the RB!!

Thanks for the video. The primary reason I purchased my RB67 was for portraits. Here are the lenses I use for portraits: 250mm f/4.5 for tight face shots 180mm f/4.5 for ½ length and head & shoulder portraits 150mm f/4 SF for soft focus portraits 90mm f/3.8 for full-length, ¾ length, and environmental portraits 50mm f/4.5 for group portraits and environmental portraits

Well done Logan, you have set the bar very high, very enjoyable, easy listening voice. GREAT images, can’t go wrong with Mamiya and i’m also a big fan of Delta 400. I also use the 90 & 110 for the RZ 😎, and looking forward to the next video. #Londonlovesyou (V) (V) (V)

Great video! Thank you very much for this video. I do a lot of portraits with a Wista45 camera at 4x5 inch. I'm looking for a camera that would give me a bit of the same feel and quality and I'm tempted at the moment by a Mamiya RB67.

Lovely portraits. Glad to hear you advocating for Delta 400. I normally reach for HP5 (or FP4 if I want fine grain). But I will try this stock too.

Yes, in 67, the t grain films are leaning digital. The fp4 is less expensive and still has the film look with plenty of detail. However, it is a slower film than say t max 400. I like ilford 3200 on 645 for me, the perfect size grain in mf for portraits.

You picked an excellent camera. Definitely switch over to the Sekonic light meter it will give more precise exposure results. The 90mm lens is a great base lens but you may want to pick up a 127mm lens for street shots and such. Very good video.

Congrats on your first video, I just picked up the rb67 for the second time. I gave up on it too fast the first time. I got the 90mm and 180mm lens to do mostly portraits. It has been hard to go from 6x6 format to 6x7, have you ever tried the square format?
@logan.bonjean
@logan.bonjean Жыл бұрын
Thanks my friend! I've heard the 180mm is really great for portraits - that's definitely the next lens I want to pick up. I haven't shot any 6x6 before, but I've been pretty enamored with the Hasselblad 501c for a while. Hope I get to shoot with one someday!

@@Narsuitus I am finding that out about the RB67, it just has been a pleasant shooting experience but I don't know if that is due to it being new to my collection. Time will tell when I get the the first couple of rolls back from the lab.

@@Awayne429 Back in my film only days, I shot a lot of weddings and portraits and usually made 8x10 inch and 16x20 inch prints. When using 6x6cm medium format cameras, I did not have to worry about portrait or landscape orientation while shooting. However, I did have to remember to leave enough space around the subjects because the 6x6mm image square image would have to be cropped to make the rectangular 8x10 or 16x20 prints. When I switched to 6x7cm medium format cameras, I did not have to worry about leaving space around the subjects because the 6x7cm rectangular image was very compatible with the rectangular shape of 8x10 and 16x20 prints. However, it took me a while to remember to rotate the RB67 back to the desired portrait or landscape orientation.
