Thank you for this!! There are so many legit checks for this shoe on YOU TUBE but yours is the only one I found that shows the silver chip behind the sticker on the box label. I got my pair off GOAT and they looked kinda suspect. REPS are getting so close to authentic and as you said it’s very hard to legit check unless you have them in person. I didn’t even think to peel back the sticker on the box to check the silver chip label!! Bless you 🙏🙏🙏

Is it bad if the rock test is it flipped for me. The left shoe rocks whereas the right shoe doesn't move at all. Also on my pair, there's no white mark under the Nike Air tag.

Good question! In my experience collecting Jordan 1's, the right shoe is typically the one that rocks. The left shoe rarely does. And In the event that the left shoe rocked, so did the right shoe. But, I've never come across a pair where only the left rocked. If you live near a sneaker boutique that resells sneakers, take your pair to the store(s) and compare. As for the white marks under the Nike tag, I pointed that out because it was consistent on both shoes, which led me to believe that was intentional. If I were you, I would also check other pairs in the store to see if that's inconsistent across pairs. Sorry for the long response. Just wanted to make sure I addressed everything. Thanks for your question. If you don't have stickers, someone in the factory possibly forgot to put them on the insoles. So, I wouldn't deem your sneakers fake based on that alone.

Don't force it. Try using a heat gun to loosen the glue. But, don't hold the heat to the shoe too long because you don't want to burn it.

Hey, I got my pair in from GOAT and all checks out except for the fact that I can’t at all remove the insoles to check the lines, they seem to be glued down really well. Is that a reason for concern?

Thanks for your question, Matt. Most of the pairs I've seen so far do not have insoles glued down. There's glue on the insoles for sure, but not enough to make it difficult for someone to remove the insoles. You can use a hair dryer or heat gun to loosen the glue a little.....Just be careful not to burn/tear the insoles.

I have other Jordan 1's in my collection that I purchased from either Nike or other retailers. Some have insoles that are more difficult to remove than others. So, I wouldn't deem your pair inauthentic based on that alone. It could be due to weather as you stated or the amount of glue used on your pair

Thank you for your question, Nick! I may need to get a LArger sample size to see if the 3 lines are consistent across ALL retail pairs. My initial sample size only consisted of 2-3 pairs. I'll have some time over the weekend to do more deep diving on this in particuLAr. In the meantime, if you live near a sneaker boutique that resells sneakers, visit the store for comparisons. I think it depends on the size of the shoe. I have a size 9 and only the first glue line stops short. The bigger sizes may have two lines that stop short

Received my pair from StockX and everything except the YCM sticker, and rock test. I already wore them so would that alter the flatness? Should I be concerned? Also the sizing label. Do the barcode numbers change depending on different sizes? I have a size 11.5.

Thanks for reaching out! So, as for the YCM sticker, that's a weird one to answer because it's contingent on human behavior. In other words, those stickers are pLAced inside the box by someone in the factory. If someone forgets to put the sticker in the box, that doesn't make the shoe less authentic. So, I wouldn't put too much energy into the YCM sticker. As for the rock test, I haven't worn my pair yet, but I do own other Jordan 1 lows. And the ones I wore, the right shoe was not altered after wearing them. And the rocking motion is still evident. As far as the barcode goes, the 1st six numbers under your barcode should be the same as mine...The next six numbers should vary because you wear a different size. But, when you compare your pair to another size 11.5, then the numbers should be the same. Sorry for the long response....Just wanted to make sure I answered everything.

Hey my pair had a distinct smell right off the box, idk if that’s normal? It was kind of strong. I’ve noticed that my suede was a little stiff too, it wasn’t buttery or as contrasting when I ran my fingers across it. Other than that every detail you mentioned was on my pair even the box was the correct beige color, am I cooked ?

Thanks for commenting, John! Jordan 1's, in general, have a distinctive smell. However, it's difficult for me to know what it is you are smelling. Do you own other Jordan 1's that you bought for retail? Do they smell like the Travis Scotts you just bought? If yes, then that's normal. As for the suede, you shouldn't see finger strokes unless the shoe is under light and at a specific angle. aside from that, the finger strokes won't be too noticeable.

Unfortunately, the glue stains will be a problem on some pairs. It is normal for sneakers to have glue stains, but it's always nice to have a pair without. You can take a tooth pick, dip it in a little bit of acetone, and pick the glue stains off. I wouldn't encourage you to do it on the suede areas, but the white leather should be fine

The suede changes, but it's very subtle. So, unless you're in good lighting, you won't notice the change much. So, in my opinion, it's not a big deal if you don't notice it easily

Copped a pair off stock x and a little bit sketched brother, the one shoe has a odd shape to the midsole, the heel looks defected, the other shoe looks normal. Don’t know if I got a defected real pair or a fake. The right shoe doesn’t sit right on flat ground but the left is good

Thanks for commenting! It's common for the right shoe of Jordan 1's (especially lows) to not be completely fLAt to the floor/ground. All of the AJ 1 lows in my collection are made the same. I'm not sure what purpose it serves. But, I can assure you it's not a defect.

Good question! In my experience, the smell test is pretty reliable. And counterfeit pairs have not been able to replicate it. It's hard to expLAin unless you've been purchasing sneakers directly from Nike for a while. If I'm able to gather more information on why that is, I'll definitely create another video about it

I have a chip behind the sticker too on one of my rep but it is not the same chip than on the video. I just received a legit one and the chip is the same than on my rep. So I do not know what to think.
