This is taken from our medical teaching DVD where the systematic evaluation of the musculoskeletal system is demonstrated in a young man with acute polyarthritis. The differential diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis is then discussed.

I am cringing as I watch these hands being moved in this way. This would hurt me a great deal, as an RA patient. Was the patient taking prednisone or pain killers so that it didn't bother him?
