"Medley from Skyward Sword" - Mahito Yokota, Takeshi Hama, Hajime Wakai, Chad Seiter. This rendition was scored for Concert Band with some minor changes by Nicholas J. Cannady. The movement is from The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses Series.
SPOILER ALERT: The video contains spoilers to the plot of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
When I first heard the entire symphonic movement, I always wanted to take a shot transcribing and making edits to the piece. This was fun as I worked on this and what a better time to present the movement then right after The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD release. The video includes scenes from the game. Video footage of scenes are property of Nintendo. After much consideration, it is the return of the score! The score is included, as I am testing out new formats of videos for the future.
Songs included:
"Ballad of the Goddess"
"Zelda's Lullaby"
"The Sky (Overworld Theme)"
"Fi's Theme"
"Ghirahim's Theme"
"Fi's Theme (Reprise)"
"Ballad of the Goddess (Reprise)"
This piece was arranged for Concert Band. The original rendition was created for orchestra and choir. Parts include: Piccolo, (2) Flutes, Oboe, Bassoon, (3) Clarinets, Bass Clarinet, (2) Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, (3) Trumpets, (4) Horns, (3) Trombones, Euphonium, Tuba, Bass, Chimes, Bells, Piano, Harp, Timpani, Snare Drum, Bass Drum, Wind Chimes, and Auxiliary Percussion.
Shoutout to Simply Randomware, as the score definitely helped during some tricky sections of the movement, and assisted in the speed of which the project was completed. You can check out the piano score of the Symphony of the Goddesses version here: • Solo Piano: The Legend...
