If I might add one extra skill that I just discovered and I believe it's really important. For the default controller, if you stole the ball (with x) and now you have a complete bar charged, but you don't want to pass the ball, press R1+R2 (default controller). It will stop everything. This also works for when the AI goes dashing to receive a long ball, or when it goes to press. If you want to cancel anything you have done before receiving the ball, press R1+R2. It's great.

It's called super cancel and I use it all the time since years. But it's not basic in my opinion. I will make an extra tutorial regarding this topic 💪
