I used to watch this after school in 84/85 even though at the time I was 14/15 and probably classed as too old for my age group but i loved it in the 80's in my teens and I still love it in my fifties, I'll never tire of it or grow up either, it's beautifully made.

The literal translation goes "they are one, two and three - the three muske(hounds) - the little D'Artagnan - always goes with them - Aramis, Porthos, Athos are - the three muske(hounds) - their deeds more than a million - never ending" and so on so they could have made it work if they tried :p
