I truly wish people who film belly dancers would take the time to learn more about the craft. They do all these crazy angles, up close, etc. The dancers are pointed towards the audience. Its the art of subtly. Close enough to see the smallest movement, but far enough to see the whole dancer. This is so beautiful, I wish I could've had a quality visual.

Agreed theyre focusing on the face when the focus in belly dancing is the torso. You miss the Majority of the dance and story when you focus in on the face which is why their faces are almost always covered in some form or fashion and then they zoom out on the transition moves rather than the moves that actually took them years to master because they seem to think they are small and meaningless when really belly dancing is meaningless without those small details. Like this is a terrible filming of what looks to be an AMAZING dance.

I had to just stop and put my phone down to take a moment to appreciate and absorb the feeling of absolute awe this left me with. One of the most stunning things I’ve ever seen. The black contacts covering the cornea as well as the iris are the perfect finishing touch. I’m sure had to be uncomfortable but it was an addition that pushed the fantasy over the edge to be fully encompassing. At the end she’s so heartbroken I just don’t know if I want to hug her before or after I kick some ass for her. ETA: the victim blaming in the story of Medusa makes me so angry and I can’t help it. Her big crime was being beautiful and being raped by Poseidon in Athenas temple then goes on to have her head cut off by Perseus. They did that girl so wrong.

Wow, I'm so happy I fell down this rabbit hole today. I really wanna learn this type of dancing. It's just so mesmerizing. The amount of control over the body these professionals have is unbelievable. Her acting and movements were hypnotizing and I just love her.

Танец великолепный, очень проникновенно. Затронуты самые трепетные эмоции (особенно, если вспоминать мифологическую биографию Горгоны ещё с того момента, как она была прекрасной девушкой). А вот оператору руки оторвать и.. в другое место вставить.. действительно, качество съёмки подкачало. И ракурс совсем не тот.

Здесь конкретно идёт речь о Горгоне Медузе (Властная), Горгон было 3 (златовласых), + 3 серебряновласых (Грайи). И самое главное, они титаниды, а не люди.

Told an interesting story in a creative way. I was longing for more serpentine like movements but the general feel was there. The costume and make up were great, especially the eyes . I was hoping for more fluidity with the body scarf. Very inventive over all and succeeded in evoking the character of the Gorgon for me. One of my favourite dancers.
