Bad from Medvedev, but understandable. The umpire did nothing about the shit crowd and Tsitsipas' constant cheating. I'm happy Danil apologized for his behaviour twice and also sent the cheater home.

too rude from Daniel side, but I don't understand, why umpire only reacting and not taking any actions before that argument

Best reaction is to win and that´s what he did. And by the way, the umpire didn‘t do his job, so Medwedev was totally right to remember him for what an umpire get paid. I loved it

That's why I dont like Tsisipas even though his game is fun to watch. He wants to win GS so bad that he will do everything for it, break any rule. Cmon. If you want GS, just play better. Thanks god Danil stoped him and his father.

Good on him. I hope he has a go about Nadal’s serve time in the final, because it’s time umpires did something about that.

And Tsitsipas is a student of Moratoglou who advocates for a drastic change in pro tennis: in his opinion coaching should be allowed and even with a coach right on the court. And he thinks that this would boost tennis to new heights. In my opinion it would take away one decisive attractive and very unique aspect of tennis, in the long tradition of a gentleman sport. I don't know how you guys think about it. But I love watching how different characters cope with stress and handle situations or decide on their very own how to vary tactics and shot selection. The Big Three had such great success not just because of their great technical skills but because they have the right mindset. I don't want to watch technically perfect players who just fulfill a drill like a robot and do what the coach has just told them a minute ago. It might be different in boxing or team sports. In soccer or other teamsports the role of the team manager might be an attractive aspect to observe. But in tennis? Never!

I agree. Players need to think for themselves on court. It's an individual sport.

Medvedev was right and the Australian crowd have generally been terrible. A really bad advertisement for the tournament that I can see them losing major status and it being shifted to the Emirates.

What a fucking dude! My respect and administration increased buckets loads after this. I always felt he was robotic and arrogant but he isn’t & still went on to win the match. Also, his post AO final interview I had even more respect for him. He’s human like the rest of us but that steel and heartfelt determination is lost of most of us. Since ‘95 I always wanted to visit Roland Garros and saw Medvedev today. Cheered him on and saw a masterclass in tennis. So put you sheepish anti-Russian commie bollocks to one side and be thankful the game has a player like him. Bravo Daniil. I’m a fan of yours for life. Respect from 🇮🇪!! 🎾🤟🙌💪

It's funny how when Tsitsipas is wrong (and he is clearly wrong here) people call him out (and rightly so) but when Nadal gets his special treatment people only comment on his greatness and character and blah blah blah, without ever calling out the fact that he DOES get special treatment.
