I'm a student in bakery and heavier bread is better, it means you are using normal flour and let the machine do it's thing. You could alternatively let it rise a lil longer. Industrial store bought breads use additives which make it light and fluffy but it does not mean they are healthier (even if they so claim on the labels). I was gifted this machine for my birthday and just had a test run today. Should have watched your video first! I was jumping each time it beeped and didn't know what it was doing. (I'm used to a big industrial oven at school xD) but thank you so much for this ! Much better than reading the instruction manual. (I made Fougasse (fine herbs and olives bread) and it came it amazing!

@@MeemReviews Deefinitely not !! doing anything wrong with your bread. yeast will create chemical reactions and create air bubbles and that makes the bread light and fluffy; but for that, time is needed. If you let the dough proof longer, more action happens. Then a lil punching to evacuate said gases, shaping let rest again, bake = your typical baguette or loaf at bakery stores. Industries don't have those two resting periods. ♥ keep up the amazing work with the household item reviews! Very useful, very insightful, very well done :D ♥

I have the same one and I love this thing! I admit I use it mostly for mixing the dough and I prefer to bake it later in the oven myself but it's still a big help to have this take care of all the kneading and rising. My favorite recipes that I've tried so far are the banana walnut bread (absolutely delicious) and the focaccia bread - so fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Yum!!

Got this machine for Christmas and my first time using it the bread came out very hard crust and very dense! What am I doing wrong? Second time was the same thing! Not very pleased with the machine. Help!
@MeemReviews2 жыл бұрын
A couple of things could be the reason. 1) not enough water/liquid added when making the dough, 2) Less butter causing it to become too hard. 2) The flour wasn't 'aired'. If you fill the scoop the flour directly from the packet/jar and dump it out, the flour to water ratio will be wrong, meaning too much flour and less water. Try to scoop out the flour and then gently sprinkle it into a measuring jug, this will get you a better measurement. I hope these help.

ANOTHER TIP WITH BREAD MACHINES: (I think of the human using the bread machine as the "Maker". He or she chooses the recipe, and makes the other critical decisions. All the machine's computer does is offer a choice of time sequences.) If you use whole wheat flour (all or partially) adding wheat gluten flour 1-3 level tablespoons will keep the loaf from being too dense if you like it to be lighter in weight. After you feel confident about your recipe, you can vary it by adding the gluten and adjusting for it. Adjust by touching the dough ball lightly and adjusting for a ball that is not more than a little bit sticky. Another approach would be to buy a certain retailer +"s wheat or whole wheat bread - less than $2.00 for a 20oz loaf. It has preservatives, but I have not read of any deaths from them. Tastes good to me, but a bit more sugar than I prefer.
Ok, you lost me on the whole "don't let the yeast touch the water" lol

A CAUTION WITH BREAD MAKERS: I don't know if the very expensive ones are any better, but I find a common problem among the machines: The bread pan's paddle-spindle and/or its bearings are in a humid, hot environmtne during use. If not made from steel that is highly resistant to rust, they gradually rust together, I you bake bread once a week, you may find after a couple of years, they lock up. This is especially true if one removes the paddle from the spindle before the last rise in order to avoid the paddle recess in the bottom of the loaf. My solution to the rust problem is not to bake in the machine. Before the last rise, transfer the dough to a baking loaf-pan. Let it rise in the oven away from cold drafts for about an hour, then bake it for about 40-45 minutes at 350-375F. Never bake in the bread machine. Use it only for mixing and kneading. A new pan will cost you $40-$50.

Thank you very much for sharing this. Definitely noted. ☺️
@sunitadwarka34713 күн бұрын
You grill the flour in oven or pan before making dough. Flour is particially cook, then you don't have to repeat process. Second, you mix every thing and wait for yeast to activate. Do kneading twice for softer bread. Make sure flour is precook and yeast have raised flour. You will get good bread. Another way is you boil the dough in boiling water. Put the dough in pot, put hot water using electric cattle . Let it boil, dough will flote on surface, strain water and put in bread making machine for giving brown color to bread. Jay bharat.
