"You can't really love something if you're afraid of it. You can't really love something if you don't really understand it. The fear and hatred of insects is just the fear of the unknown." Wise, poignant words from Aaron.

I'm glad Aaron found a way to take his passion and share it with the world. Ps I've raised dozens and dozens of those caterpillars, they're amazing at every stage and so damn cute at a few.

Haha, nice! I love it! I was fascinated by bugs when I was a kid (That hasn't changed at all) and people thought I was weird and I couldn't understand why other people didn't. Totally familiarize with you there. I once took a big wolf spider to show and tell. The teacher screamed, ran out the door and jumped over the fence lol. That is awesome that you are bringing them to people to see and interact with. Keep it up.

If this guy started a KZbin channel as a wildlife educator, like Animal Wonders or Snake Discovery (great channels - check them out), I would absolutely subscribe. I love learning about and appreciating diverse species - and bugs are just cool.

60 years ago Randy Moses tried to scare us with some red bugs. I said cool, those eat milkweed. 20 years later I told his mother who I taught school with. She laughed pretty hard. Who waits 20 years to rat someone out to his mother?

@@atlasobscura I believe it's a Giant Prickly Stick Insect. They're one of the largest stick insecty type things, but they evolved to look like leaves instead of sticks! They're right at home in the leaf litter of the Australian rainforest :) Totally harmless to humans, but I can see why they look like scorpions at first glance, as they mimic scorpions when threatened.
