While serving a 28-year prison sentence, Allen got sober, secured his Associates Degree in Human services and certification in addiction studies, and made a commitment to building a better life for himself and his family upon his release.

This position allowed Allen to put food on the table for his family while balancing going to school to secure his Class A driver license - courses that were covered by Chrysalis.
