Iredecence = shift from one colour to another with a base coulor that doesn’t change. Holographic = full spectrum from red to purple and can sometimes have a base colour. All snakes have holographic belly scutes and some such as sunbeam snakes or rainbow boas are holographic.

Sadly the only snakes you can own legally in Brazil are boas, I wanted a ball python but since I can't get one without contributing with illegal traffic I will not get one. I will have a rainbow boa tho, I live in their natural habitat so humidity isn't a problem and even if he bites me I'll still love my holo noodle son ❤

Hog noses can give a reaction if you let them chew on you or if you are allergic to the venom. They are rear fang so it does take a lot for to nab you. I have a friend who has been chewed on by a hog nose and had to go to the ER because of having a reaction.

I don't own any snakes, but I have handled them and am not afraid of them at all. I've been admiring them on KZbin because I think they're pretty. KZbin recommended this video. What's cool about the venom delivery method of hog noses is that they have rear fangs which require them to chew on the prey and work it to the back of their mouth just to be able to deliver a dose of venom. So even if a person is bitten by a hognose, unless you let it gnaw on your hand or they get a narrow part at just the right angle (like if they bit a finger head on) it's likely you'll get out of the bite before the fangs get to you. This is so cool because it's very different compared to fixed fangs or hinged fangs. Hinged fangs like the sort you see on rattlesnakes and vipers fold back but spring forward to the front when they strike. Fixed fangs are just like they sound, they just stay at the front of the mouth ready to go. Snakes are so cool man. Don't know if I'd ever want a pet snake, definitely not a venomous one (unless it was rear fanged), but personally I'm more into spiders tbh. Maybe I'll get a ball python eventually one day, those guys are so cute. Main reason I don't know if I'll ever want a snake is I don't think I could deal with feeding it if it refused to eat prekilled. A friend of mine recently got a spider ball python with a neurological issue. But she adopted her as an adult snake and the snake needed a home BECAUSE of the issue. I'm sure she wouldn't have bought a snake of that morph from a breeder for ethical reasons. My friend already has experience with ball pythons and so was able to provide proper care for her. Luckily the issue just makes her a bit clumbsy at the moment, hopefully it won't get too worse. She's such a gorgeous snake! It's a shame that those guys tend to have those issues. Such gorgeous animals! Thanks for showing us your collection!

I recommend a simple bioactive vivarium for snakes with neurological issues. Just a good bioactive substrate (I recommend Arcadia Earthmix) with leaf litter and two species of isopods, one species of springtail and worms. Little to no care for cleaning so only humidity and water is required.

When I bought my spider ball python, I was completely unaware of the neurological issues they could have. Thankfully though, Pancake is an amazing eater, he is so sweet, and he hasn't shown any signs at all of any detrimental mental health. I love him with all my heart. Your Brazilian Rainbow Boa is gorgeous, Aphrodite. First word that came to mind was iridescent; beautiful and sorta reminds me of the way something that's holographic looks with the shimmery rainbow colours. 11:00 I've seen wild snakes around my home over the yrs and they look just like Opal. We've always called them Glass Snakes, don't know why though. But they just show up every now and then. Harmless and don't bite I've been told. Love the video & I'm not a snake person. 👍🏻😊

On reptile amino almost everyone will tell you the best beginner snake are corn snakes due to their easy care and forgiveness to mistakes. They are very hardy and have simple care requirements. They also have tame temperaments and are easy to handle.
