Two comments, because this seriously made my eyes well up a few times. I just turned 26 and am still struggling on and off to get clean; what I wouldn’t do to for the time I went to treatment at 22 to have been the time I figured it out, but I didn’t have half the conviction that Connor shows just in this video alone. Sometimes the good in people shines so loudly and I can totally see it radiating from him here. I believe in you buddy. 🤞🏻I’ll definitely be writing. You can do this, we love you!

My heart is bleeding for this kid♡ He just needed someone to care ❤ Thank you, Jen, for being that soft place to land. For anyone that has been "through it", it feels like a blessing to us all. I could feel the intensity when you brought up his step Dad starting to be back in his life- which is clearly special to him. Thank you for reminding him that he is loved and worth good things. And that he never has to sleep outside again. I can tell he is so grateful. Connor ! YOU are brave and you are loved! I am so proud of you 👏 Keep making good choices for yourself and before you know it you will have an apartment! I didn't expect to cry this morning- thanks for sharing this with us Jen. Keep us updated Connor! You're a good kid- keep on keeping on♡

Connor, you are so brave! We ain’t fancy around here. Other special guests on Jen’s Channel: Luna playing in, getting stuck in, and knocking down a ton of boxes. Frankie teething, chomping Jen’s fingers while recording. The Frankie vs Cat episode. Jen was in her tiny recording room, Frankie & Friends started playing & almost knocked over her whole recording set up. Jen’s plant collection. You didn’t fall into any boxes. You didn’t bite Jen. (Right?) You didn’t knock over her recording set up. You’re much more articulate than any of Jen’s plants. 🤣😂 For real, though, welcome to the group! When you feel like you need ONE FREAKING bright spot in your day, head to the group on Facebook. You will never again need to feel lonely. That’s what we do. 💜

And to keep stepping forward when you get tripped up by shitty stuff in life. You are so fortunate to have these two sincere people in your life and on your side. Jen’s heart is so bomb. Growing up with an addicted parent does something to you, that I understand. At 36, after losing both of my parents, I’ve just finally worked through my childhood CPTSD from my Father’s addiction and my Mother’s issues. Thank you both for getting on here and sharing this 💜

I saw an interesting study that said, whenever you're nervous and you physically say the words out loud "I'm excited" instead, it changed the physical reaction of your brain. You dont even have to believe it, but nervous and excited are so closely related in your brain that just the act of saying "excited" out loud would swing things a different way. Good luck, Conner! I rooting for ya!

Connor, I got clean at 22 as well. I now have 15 years in recovery. It's not easy, but I promise you can do it! Don't ever listen to the people who tell you that you're too young. Go Connor, you are so strong you got this, dude!!!! I can definitely relate to Connor (I’m 23) about having to grow up when you are a kid, it’s hard to just let go and be a young adult sometimes. It’s absolutely amazing that he is taking back control of his life and you can literally see in the video how happy and full of life he is. Jen, it was really nice seeing your passion for helping those in need and how much you have impacted the community, especially when Connor said he heard about you from others for months! 💜💜💜

I just clicked on this video because I love hearing from you Jen, but I’m usually not one to watch an interview / meet video… I could not turn away. Yes, Connor is amazing and you can see how much he wants (and deserves) to have better support and make better decisions. It was you though. I have rarely seen someone so incredibly in tune with another human, let alone be able to relate while empowering in equal measure. You can clearly see that you are a godsend to the people you work with. I truly hope one day you can see the fruits of your labour in a tribe of family who owe part of their journey to sobriety to you or your work. Please never stop fighting 💪🙌🏼😘

I had/have one of those PO’s. I called mine during my 3 year clean time because I was struggling out of blue. Harder than anytime I have ever had while being clean. She talked to me for an hour during her work hours. Hold onto that PO. Those few jewels in the system are worth their weight in gold. She gave me her personal cell number because she cared that much & wanted to continue being my support system.

Conner you don't know me but I am so DAMN PROUD OF YOU! Sharing your story and being honest about your past takes HUGE BALLS! Meth is a MONSTER of a drug and brings even the best people to the pits of hell... You are lucky to be alive to tell your story.. As some were not as fortunate. The root cause of most addiction is childhood trauma and you acknowledge that obviously but You are holding yourself responsible for your actions and taking steps to a a better life.. March 10th I will be 15 years clean and sober!! It is so worth it! ..you are worth it! The cure to addiction is not treatment alone but "connection", connection to people who understand and are willing to stand not just by you but with you on your journey. You can do this! Wishing all the best! RECOVER LOUDLY!!! ❤

I cannot even express how much i love and admire both of you. I dont have much experience with addiction , i havent really seen dependency in my life , barely seen drugs, my story is very different. I live on the other side of the globe and know nothing about the reality of where or how you grew up , but your story , and your strength Connor , Im sure is inspiring those who struggle with addiction or have suffered from it one way or another , but for me , who has very different struggles , you are just as inspiring. You inspire me to push forward regardless, to give yourself the best chance , to take it day by day and believe in A future for yourself. I root for you and I thank you.

Love this video. As a addict I know for me, it was actually discouraging to see ppl like Jen, yes she did it and she’s sober but it just made me think it could never be me. But to see you MEETING THEM WHERE THEY ARE and seeing the “come up” from the bottom up is huge. THIS is what we need to see. Love to hear u say “not everyone I work with is in recovery” yet... Connor you give us all hope! THANKS! 🙏

What stood out to me is the grin when you asked to show the pictures. That smirk showed pride. The feeling of pride is earned, and always a good sign when someone is really taking in and feeling the pride of personal accomplishment. Life can be full of hope and personal successes, big and small. 22 is so young. Everyone is just figuring out who they are at that age so build a good foundation now and there is a lifetime just full of positives times, healthy relationships and available opportunities ahead just waiting to be grabbed and enjoyed.

Jen, It’s really so beautiful to see the vulnerable and real side of helping addicts! Thank you! Connor, I know you don’t know me but I’m so proud of you for getting your life together! I know your childhood was terrible and you didn’t deserve that, nobody deserves that. My mother was my best friend but we got high together too, she moved in with my grandparents because her addiction wouldn’t allow her to be financially stable enough to take care of us. My mom got sober a few years before I did, we both had really bad relapses after years of sobriety and it was hard to get back to normal but we did. Also, When I say sober, I mean Suboxone sober because that’s the only sober I’ve ever known and I’m not ashamed of that, I’m proud to not be using anymore. If abstinence is your path, that’s amazing but it isn’t mine and I know I’ll get there one day. ♥️

Connor, I’m proud of you for putting in the work and choosing to continue to work on your sobriety. How awesome is it that you can be a role model for your younger siblings - they have you to show them that they don’t have to grow up and be what they grew up in.

Connor congrats for your recovery. I hope your life gets easier from now on. Thanks Jen for this Amazing work. It is hard for most of people to relate and deal with people strugling with drug adiction.

Good on you Connor, keep going, keep striving for all the incredible things you deserve in life. I was right on the edge of a meth addiction in my late teens and it's so hard to get away from, you are incredibly strong. Take care of yourself and I wish you all the very best for the future.
