******************KNOWLEDGE BEGETS POWER AND POWER BEGETS WEALTH******************** That is very nice of him to display his look-at-me video, another one of our brightest African talents outside of Africa developing our adversary's country like so many of our diasporas. By the time he comes back to Africa, he would have become tired, unproductive and a whiner complaining about Africa's lack of this or that. What Africa/Ghana needs to develop is KNOWLEDGE from people like him and with that knowledge comes the POWER to industrialize, build and create things that we can sell at higher rates to acquire WEALTH. Wealth without power and knowledge is what has made Africa as POOR as it is today knowledge⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

@@tvs9978 That is by far the dumbest thing anybody has said to me this year. Is aviation management magic? I hope you don't put such stupid defeatism into any child.
@tvs99783 жыл бұрын
@@donprincoify grow up! This is common sense. Every country has certain things it's good at. Just as every company has certain things its good at. Instead of trying your hand at everything and not doing well, concentrate on the industries you're good at to reap economies of scale, and outsource things you're not good at. By your dumb reasoning, we should also venture into farming tea to compete with the countries that do because of course we can learn how to do it. But the question when you have limited resources is will the benefits outweigh the opportunity cost, and will it cost more to switch resources to this new industry than it would to continue in the industries you're good at? Ethiopia, Kenya, Egypt, Morocco, Togo, Ivory Coast, SA and Rwanda have perfected the art of managing airlines. It doesn't mean that all other African countries should also have airlines. It's a limited market. Strategically you have to look at the continent and your resources and ask, what areas would give me a competitive advantage and bring the most benefit to my economy. Do you seriously think the Ghanaian Govt could have afforded to bail out a national airline during this pandemic? People need to think with a business mind instead of being emotional like babies. You think like a village boy
@donprincoify3 жыл бұрын
@@tvs9978 Mate,you have got to be a bot trolling me because nobody can be that dense unintentionally. What are you talking about "trying your hands" on an aviation management? It is not some exotic sports being introduced to us. It is an academic course just like any other and from the look of it, not a particularly challenging one. The 18000 commercial airports scattered around the world are managed by trained and competent people not aliens or gods. It has nothing to do with tea farming. And by the way if Ghana had been located in the right temperature zone fit for tea farming what would have stopped us from cultivating it? That is not magic either it would have just been a matter of acquiring the knowledge and equipments needed to farm tea. You see Ivorians,Ethiopians,Rwandans,Egyptians,Togo,Sierra Leone,Haiti,South Sudan etc were not born with some sort of innate aviation Management skills,it is an acadamic knowledge and skill set taught in schools and institutions around the world by humans teachers, not gods or aliens or fake pastors. A serious student can acquire his B.S in Aviation Management in less than 3 years. But don't go getting any ideas my friend,in your case I will seriously encourage you to first take advantage of the free SHS program because you do need it.
@tvs99783 жыл бұрын
@@donprincoify good lord you're dense. Tea farming was an example to say we don't have to be involved in every industry. The ideas of competitive advantage and opportunity cost are simple ones. If they went over your head well that says something. Managing an airline (a successful, profitable airline including maintenance of aircraft not a creaking bucket) is very complex and involves more than just a course. That's why Ghana has failed at it again and again. Same with Italy and many other countries. Half the airlines that existed 20 years ago don't exist today for a reason. Clearly you don't pay attention to industry trends. Again learn to think with your brain not your emotions.

Ghana makes cars... so why not both investigation spacecrafts?? The heli-drone of the Perseverance rover, was designed by a Greek person in NASA. The difference there is that I think that the most of the great Ghanian brains are remaining in Ghana. The best Greek brains looks like that are... not welcomed in Greece... because we have tragic politicians who at the past disabled & the last chance for a car production. Congratulations Ghana!!!
@Didmasela3 жыл бұрын
I wish he could all go back to Ghana and Africa to transfer his knowledge to Ghanaians and Africans if the Ghanaian and African governments can offer such opportunities in space research. Their innovations alone could profit Africa because of their patents that could be licensed and paid for in millions of dollars. Brain Drain has really killed research, innovation and technological progress in Africa because there are so many Africans working for NASA and other western technology research institutes
@TheNewAfricaChannel3 жыл бұрын
Great comment, however, I think he's doing a lot in his native country. In 2011 Ashitey founded the Ghana Robotics Academy Foundation (GRAF), a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to motivating and inspiring young Ghanaians in science, technology and engineering. His foundation won the Google RISE Award 2013. His organization send yearly brilliant students from Africa to international trainings and competitions. I think he's not being selfish, and giving back somehow to his country. If you listen to some of his other interviews online, it's not just about going to Mars, since most of the technology they design or invent, are also used to improve are daily conditions on earth. An example can be the mobile phone technology we're all using...
