I got one and a half languages (semi fluent in Spanish) aha Bilingualism or more should be compulsory as far as I'm concerned, the mental development it provides is phenomenal.

That's the thing right. In school we are taught many languages for this very reason. It's just not taught in a way we find effective, but personally I think it's because we don't know we want to learn languages by then
