Bro. I agree that this content is a bunch of crap, but, if anyone wants to believe him, I can theorize that he HEARD his friend struggling, and used the volume of his voice to know he was right in front of him. Also, certain blind folds do not completely obscure your vision, you can BARELY see through the fabric. This is in the Bird Box movie, the fabric of said blind folds is not thick enough to completely obscure their vision. Only enough to prevent the game over effects that the monster provides.
