I laughed my ass off when I saw those sparkling things on Gilgamesh's table for sale. Having been a F/GO player for over three years, I recognized them instantly and found it amusing and relatable that a kid would steal them, even if said child didn't know exactly how valuable those are. I really get on my hands and knees to complete every weekly challenge for those just to pull one more time for the latest Servant on rate-up.

​@@wortexpaladin2527it's what gil was always meant to be. But talking seriously this isn't the first time we've seen the same servant being able to be summoned in more than one class. Apocrypha vlad is a berserker in fgo. Shuten and raikou were summoned on shimousa as berserker and rider respectively. And even in this game we see that musashi wasn't summoned as a saber in this grail war. So it's not really that weird we see Gil happy he doesn't have a master to hold him down this time around

​​​@@hououinkyouma1465to be fair, FSN was the first Fate to come out, so he has to start out somewhere. Even as a pretty typical cocky villain, he gave a memorable impression for me. Nowadays Gil tho is already given more expansion to his story, CCC and FGO Babylonia are two main examples. I found it ironic that, even though Saber Artoria is like the face of the franchise, she barely get any direct involvement to the recent stories, and instead we got more focused on alternate timeline Artorias that isn't exactly the same person and feels different from one another. Different from Gilgamesh where all 3 version (Kid, ArcGil, CasGil) are all himself from different period of his life, so these 3 still feels like Gilgamesh everyone know and love. There is also Shirou, though I think he got a somewhat better treatment compared to Saber Artoria, he still appeared a lot as both Shirou and EMIYA. Different versions of Shirou still have more or less similiar personality, looks, ideals, ability and hobby so the many alternate version of Shirou / EMIYA still feels like they are close enough to OG FSN Shirou / EMIYA. Recently, Shirou is still involved in the story of Fate/Kaleid 3rei and while this is another version of Shirou that thrown away his Hero of Justice ideal, he still feels like the Shirou everyone know and love. (I'm going to exclude Muramasa ofc since he's not really Shirou, though he is pretty much old man Shirou with greater obsession when it came to swords )

Gil's always been like this. He's just a maniac in the Fate Route because he's pissed off with the that era and the mud from the grail made him quite twisted. Otherwise, he's fairly amicable when he likes the era he's in (Notably seen in CCC & Babylonia)

he's always been like that, prove of it is in Hollow Ataraxia when he pretty much just became the king of the kids, remember that he can see the true nature of every person so he likes kids because they are honest (Gilgamesh is caothic good acording to the game). What happend to Illya... people tend to forget that she's really like 18 years or so and tried to brutally slaughter Saber and Shirou in the anime, we see how awful she's in some bad endings.

For some reason there’s a Rouge Servant for every usual class plus a Rouge Ruler which is Gilgamesh. He’s wearing a kimono or something, and is the Boss (Young Master) of a textile business. We don’t know why there’s Rouge Servants. We don’t really know much about the Samurai Remnant’s storyline. The other Rouge Servants can be recruited. We don’t know about Gilgamesh yet. I haven’t played the series myself, but there’s fan speculation he’s homage or something to Rodin from the Bayonetta series, who is supposedly a shopkeeper and also secret unlockable.
