At age 19, Air Force Academy cadet and avid swimmer Hailey Lane never imagined she’d suffer a cardiac arrest incident that would leave her without a pulse for 20 minutes. But thanks to medics and bystanders on the scene, the team at VCU Health Pauley Heart Center, her family and friends, and the outpouring of support she received from the “Hailey Strong” social media campaign, Hailey survived and is back on track to return to the Air Force Academy this summer. God bless her. I am surprised that heart electrical abnormalities were not detected, per physical exam, prior to her gym activities

@@leona5508 Its ok. It may not always be something to do with the heart. Im 24 now and for few years, i had palpitation and discomfort in whole left side of the body and initially when i visited doctor mostly it didn't help but finally after taking a full body test, it turns out to be Vitamin B12 and D deficiency which causes palpitation, anxiety ... Now iam taking medication for that and i feel much better now.

@@leona5508 I'm 28 and i have palpitations and afib. Doctors can't find the cause they say that my heart is healthy. It's so depressing everytime i get afib i think i'm gonna die.

There are a lot of these in all kinds of media. They talk about feelings and drama most of the time, little or nothing about the medical stuff that would actually be of interest to anyone even basically smart, regardless of who. Dumbification at work - spend time on feelings & drama :-(
