What the pastor is teaching is humility and compassion. Many of us don’t have someone to support our emotions and teach us how to raise our EQ. I find his view of his mother interesting. She still has a backbone of Buddhism even as a Christian. Life is about suffering, rebirth and impermanence. Beyond the surface level, deep with ourselves is to achieve self awareness. I like that Ghost said he couldn't understand religion, many people who aren't religious don't understand, including myself. Man I feel you ghost, my dad passed away when I was 13 and he was truly my best friend fr fr. After that happen I couldn’t fathom how someone could believe in god fr. You could ask anyone who knew my dad, he was always bringing great energy, always smiling, would get me anything I wanted even though he didn’t have it like that. Still till this day I can’t believe why “god” would do this. My dad had cancer and was doing chemo after beating and ended up getting another kind of cancer from it, like what kind of shit is that. I still beat myself up about, I can remember the night before telling my mom “I hope something happens so I don’t have to take finals tomorrow”. Little did I know my mom would get a call the following day saying we gotta go to the hospital. The last time I saw my dad was laying in a hospital bed with no brain function or nothing. I think that was a great analogy about two ladies. I believe people put too much of what happens on God doing some thing. I don’t think God makes us do things I think we have the choice to do things. The lady lost her money God didn’t take her money, but God was able to use the situation to bless another person. I really respect how open you are about your views of things, and I highly encourage you to look deeper and seek the answers to your questions. You’re 100% right to view God the way you do because you’re viewing God the way people or society told you to based on the way that you speak of God. Bro, the 2 second rule is a straight FACT for men... It's crazy how some women, not only don't go by the same rule, but also think it's not a actual rule between all men. It most definitely is a major and very serious rule. Regardless if you follow or not. Just cuz u don't, doesn't mean the guy u are looking at doesn't either. You'd have to assume every guy does follow it. Just so u can keep ur guard up and not get blind sided by someone who thought differently about how u looked at them. It's like an unsaid rule.
