Karl Pilkington is like a broken clock in where he's right 2 times a day. There's a certain random wisdom in every viewpoint he has but it's so mixed in with the bullocks that you spend 90% of the time laughing only to stop now & then and say "Yeah, that seems right.." and then it's back to falling off your chair with you palm still planted on your face. I wish all philosophers were that entertaining. If Plato or Socrates did the comedy club circuit it'd be a great way to get your philosophical eastereggs. That's why I love George Carlin.

What funny is Karl is talking about removing trash from earth and putting it in space i.e. other planets and this is literally Jeff Bezos latest idea that he is really going to pursue. Watch his post interview from his space flight. Makes you think Karl isn't that ridiculous in his thinking
@paparoach0072 жыл бұрын
You have to take in to consideration at the time when this DVD extra was recorded there was no news of Jeff Bezos from what I can remember or any plans to transport waste in to outer space but Karl's way of thinking sounds crazy when you first hear it to years down the line and it starts to come true is extra-terrestrial lol.
@xzonia12 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's a great idea to be ditching stuff off of Earth until we're proficient at exploring and bringing stuff back from space to replace it. The long-term harm of permanently removing the only resources we have (rather than recycling it / letting it biodegrade) could be far more serious than we currently imagine.
@davidlee49032 жыл бұрын
@@paparoach007 It doesn't sound crazy to me. He favors the dismissive model that favor short term pleasure with no real regard for future generations. It sounds nice and he is funny, but I don't think he is crazy for thinking like that. He just prefers ignorance.

Replays to my comment so far help me make my point. None of you can give me a solid prove that the big bang existed, it is a scientific theory not a scientific fact. It is a theory based on science while modern technology, for instance, are facts produced by science.

@LyingSecret2 жыл бұрын
@@chadgatlin I imagine it probably takes a lot of fuel, given how precise all the measurement on a standard space rocket have to be, with the weight of the crew even having to be factored in. I imagine Ricky is right on this one, what little they could take (if any) would never be worth the travel or fuel involved as they can't even afford to do it often enough. If they invented fuel for rockets that was totally renewable, a way to launch the same rocket more than once, and cut costs way way down, then it might be worth it, but by then the world might be screwed anyway.
