Wow! This is one of the most powerful front porch words I have ever watched! This is so true and it equips us for the way forward. Thank you Ms Karen! Just before finding this video today, I had read a biography of a 1950's movie star. It was such a sad life she had lived (Barbara Peyton). She grew up with alcoholic parents, became an alcoholic also among other things and died rather young. My heart went out to this poor soul because it seems as if nobody had told her about Jesus. My hope is that in her death, she got acquainted with Him; I don't know. We are NOT to condemn anyone but it kind of amazes me and makes me sad to see how many believers in Christ are going down the path of drink and even promoting it. No it probably won't send them to hell but it could influence others who are weakly. Although if not saved, strong drink could lead one to a life of hell.For me, it's not a 10 commandments, "Thou not shalt" but a loving warning. My husband's father was a heavy drinker and my husband who has cerebral palsy sufferered greatly because his father never knew anything different. The entire family did as well in ways I shall not go into here. My hope is that we as believers will admire what the saver have in Christ not what Satan has to offer just because everybody is doing it.

I have a praise, Karen I met you at Pastor Kent’s birthday party and shared with you about my prodigal son that was suicidal and just bogged down with depression. Well, since I’ve seen you, my son rededicated his life to Jesus and got baptized. In addition, God blessed him with a job through his brother at his brother’s company at the warehouse. It’s an HVAC company starting at $23 an hour. Garrett went to the interview process and they found out that he had a misdemeanor on his record so they couldn’t insure him, but they found out that he had worked with cars and they promoted him before he even started , giving him an additional three dollars an hour making it $26 an hour as their fleet coordinator. Hallelujah God is so good. God is so good thank you for praying for our prodigals. He is excited. He is trying to get reconnected with the Lord and with life. I have had some of the best conversations I’ve ever had with him last week in 6 years. So thank you for praying. I’ll be forever grateful for your obedience in doing these podcasts.
