Property is beautiful. How I wished I could walk the property with a salt shaker under the June apple trees. Blackberries for blackberry dumplings, tomatoes with cornbread. My, my. Your father looks healthy in this video. Thanks for a walk in the past for many of us.

What a beautiful piece of property and wonderful stories to hear. We used to live on 23 acre farm in West Virginia when I was a kid. We had a huge garden, raised our own beef and pork, milked our cow, had chickens and eggs too. We had fruit for pies, jams, jellies, canning and freezing. Mom only bought flour, salt, pepper, baking soda and baking powder in the store. His tales are such a blessing to listen to.

Your dad was raised like me. We were raised to survive, not much money back then. We had fields of food with it being a family of 9. No regrets here, my parents raised us right and I'm forever grateful for it even though it was hard work. We have several gardens now and canning as much as we can.

Marshall, your Daddy looks great and has more energy than many men his age. His garden is amazing and beautiful. Those blackberries are huge! Please gather enough ripe ones and make a blackberry cobbler on one of your future cooking videos, then let your Daddy sample a bite! I love to hear him talk. You could just let him make the cobbler and do all the talking!

Wow!!!! I would love to have his gardening skills. I try. But nothing I have looks as amazing as his! Please, maybe do a video a week on each individual plant…how he planted them, how he took care of them. Just some advice for us. And of course, you could also do a video that week on a recipe featuring that plant, and a video featuring how to preserve that plant food. Just a suggestion. How absolutely wonderful!!!
