I had a birthday last month. My sister stopped on her way to Florida. We went shopping and had dinner at Longhorn. Then my brother and his SO came to go to a concert. We left early because it kept raining all day. Went out to dinner, it was her birthday, but we had trouble finding a restaurant. Tried Chili's and Olive Garden but the waits were too long. Wound up at Longhorn where we also had to wait. Problem was many left the concert early and many left the Mountain State Fair early for the same reason. It just rained off and on all day and night. Life in the mountains!

I love Longhorn for their Parmesan crusted chicken. It’s my absolute favorite!! But the rest is hit or miss… Happy Birthday to your mom. My dad turned 82 last month and my mom will be the same in January. I feel so blessed to still have them here.

How sad about the food! I love Longhorn also! Never had a bad steak there ever. Have only had a problem with my baked potato a couple times. Your sister is a cutie. You can tell you are sisters. You have the same smile along with the curls!

Happy Birthday Renee's mom! Nice to "meet" your family and actually "talk" to your sister. Our family is quite small, too and my mom, my dad, and my sister are all gone now, so it's my brother, my husband, my sister-in-law, and me. We live in very different parts of the country, so we seldom see one another, but we talk via text and email. I do have two little grand-nieces that I love to death. They are twins and you put them together, they're me! It's uncanny. Unfortunately, I don't see them as much as I'd like to, as they live in yet another part of the country.

Jan - seeing GENEs show up in our family members is so fun.😜I have identical twin granddaughters & it is the thrill of my life. No twins on either side - & they each have different personalities. Renee, I don't know if anyone else made this comment but check into the relationship between keto and kidney stones. There may be a link there from what I saw when I searched for that. I've had a kidney stone and it was awful. It took one month to come out and my insurance at that time was an HMO and they wouldn't do anything about it. They advised to "drink lots of water". Lesson learned: no HMOs for me ever again.

Please tell Randy I hope he's feeling all better. A friend of mine's husband had a kidney stone and said it was one of the most painful things he'd ever gone through. I think his had to be "broken up" before it could pass.
