Oops...continuation: The cage you brought your bird home in is too small. There's a reason why they should be able to do what's natural for them -- fly around. If you spend time training your bird, you can leave his cage open so he can fly around the room. (We dedicated a whole room for our birds...they love hanging out by the window to watch squirrels and other birds). He'll know that the cage is his home base. Yes, you need to change his water everyday or when necessary. Add a drop or two of apple cider vinegar to his water bowl (it's supposed to be healthy and anti-fungal). He'll need a bath basin/bowl too. We assigned our square Pyrex glass pan for our birds. I add a few drops of apple cider vinegar in the bath water too. You need to change that everyday as well. Birds poo all the time so if you let him out (after watching training videos) be ready to follow the trail!. If he eats only pellets/seeds, it's not too messy. Once you incorporate fruits or veggies to his diet then poo gets a bit mushier. Birds can be super noisy! We taught our birds that night-night time means a dimmer lamplight and we "tuck them in" by putting a blanket over their cage. Then it's lights off. It's possible that the bird might get spooked in the dark so your location is important too. Oh, birds molt! Like when dogs shed their fur. Feathers will fly. And there's something like fine dust that they release when they shake their feathers. That's why we keep an air purifyer in that room. (It's really for us!) There's a lot more but you'll learn about them.as you go along. ...Good luck! Birds can be affectionate like dogs. I hope that you both have lots of great moments together.

I'm gonna give you a few advices on how to handle him because I got a pair at home 1. You should have bought a pair , lovebirds pick a pair for life usually and him being alone will be stressed out when you leave long periods of time 2. Change water every 2 days max 3. He's still a "puppy" and his beak is growing so I would advise you to buy a calcium stone for him to bite on when the beak is hurting him 4. When you edit videos late at night put a blanket on top of the cage to block the light so he can sleep 5. In about a month or so open the cage and let him explore , you'll have a laugh 😉

Yes cage should be covered at night birds need to sleep too. We’re birds parents for so many years. Our favorite is Quaker parrot that we called Puffy.❤️

Call him Spud. They need access to sun light. Keep him near the widow. A slightly bigger cage would be better for him. Bird toys are important. Interact with him. Vary his diet so he's not always eating seeds. Do not clip his wings. teach him to fly in your condo. He needs to to know you are a safety go to.. Certain plants are poisonous so just be aware. Just do some basic research and you should be good. 🙂

Merghim we just finished watching your vlog about your new companion. You can call your conure bird Condor if you like. We bought similar bird just like yours and this kind of bird are very loyal. We also named him Condor and he stayed with us for seven years. Condor learned to eat bread and he dipped the bread in water. We brought him outside our house and he did not fly away. He just stayed on our shoulder and just looked around. Buy him some bird toys and clean his bird cage of poop. You can cover his cage with towel at night. Looking forward to more videos from you. I've never personally had birds, but a buddy of mine has had many, and we've talked extensively on the topic. Physical interaction with them is key! Your little guy is young, so for starters letting him out while you are both in the CR with the door closed so you can get comfortable with each other at first. He'll become your best buddy with constant out of cage interaction. My friend had an evil little thing he called Savage, and only Troy could interact with him. It was to the point that Savage would never leave Troy's shoulders when they were out in public, even in a moving vehicle with the windows down. Damndest thing.

You are one cool vlogger dude and I sure hope to bump into you someday. I retired a couple months or so ago and I'm on my way to Cebu in January for about a 5 - 6 month stay in the Philippines, mostly in Cebu although you've really piqued my interest in Manila as well. I'm starting my Philippine foray with the Sinulog festival in January and I've already made flight and accommodation arrangements for the Songkran festival in Thailand in April as well. I've learned a lot from your videos, both IT Park in Cebu and about BGC in Manila. I've got an AirB&B lined up for my first month at IT Park (Avida Towers) directly across from Sugbu Mercado - again, thanks to your vlog as well as the Amazing Philippines guy. I've also heard that the Philippines has started to ease their entry and COVID requirements although I'm fully vaccinated & boosted plus I'm a senior citizen. Good luck with the bird and I tend to agree with some who say that you probably should've gotten a larger cage as well as a companion for your new pal. I really don't know much about birds, so what do I know... right? Take care, stay safe, and I'll look for you when I go to BGC someday.

bird's cage at night is that it provides a regular period of privacy not usually allowed during the day. Further, it tends to keep the bird quiet in the early morning when it would otherwise become active and vocal. lf you now cover your bird's cage at night, continue to do so.

Just a thought and suggestion from an animal lover but never a bird parent: This bird has gone from an environment with many other birds and lots of chirping to complete silence. This is probably a shock to it and will take some getting used to. Perhaps, you could play some bird chirping from today's video for the next few days (gradually reducing the time played each day) so that it will not feel so shocked and possibly depressed from suddenly being alone. Imagine if you were kidnapped by an alien and placed alone with the alien. I'm sure you'd feel more at home if you could hear the voices of people you know until you got used to you new environment. Perhaps the other viewers who have birds and have suggested a companion for the new bird is the best suggestion.

I would suggest a larger cage for your bird. Be sure to provide plenty of toys (without crowding the cage) and cycle them out to keep things new and stimulating. A great way to bond would be (once it's comfortable with you) to allow him to eat food off your hands. You may want to let it fly around the house a couple hours a day.

Hi there! I watch your vlogs with my husband all the way from the US. This is my first time sending you a message. It's nice that you wanted to give a forever home to an animal. But it seems that you haven't done research on it. When I thought that you were getting a puppy, my first thought was -- "Don't buy, please adopt." My second thought was that you could have asked your subscribers for a pup; someone may have a precious one to share with you. Then...the bird! We have birds at home (3...and, a dog) so when I was watching your vlog it really hit me hard that you didn't really know what you're in for. Birds are social.animals. They need stimulation so you should have gotten your bird some toys. Friendly suggestion...read up about that breed. Do you know that they can live for 20 or more years? Are you committed? They recognize people. Your bird will get attached to you IF you give it the time of day it deserves. Beaks and claws grow (like our fingernails) so your bird will need that rough perch which it could use to file them. That pet shop boy was only too happy to make a sale. Or, he really doesn't know pertinent info either. Bird pellets are healthier than an all-seed diet (the pellets should already have the necessary nutrients

If you are planning on getting a companion pet that will not cost you a fortune, try going to Bocaue, Bulacan. There is an open pet market with different kinds of pets you can choose from dogs, cats, birds and even livestocks with less than half the price if you are going to buy in Metro Manila. You might want to hire a grab and ask the driver if he knows the place. Good luck to your pet hunting!

That birds is african lovebird mutation is eyering greenfisher. They call them eyering because the eyes rounded by white ring also called albs2. The other mutation called albs1a low mutation with no white ring in the eyes. Albs2 also is more darker color rather than the albs1.

Cage size is fine if you let it fly around the apartment at least one or two hours a day. Suggest you swap out the plastic perches in the cage with ones made from real wooden branches (you can find them in Shoppee) for better comfort. Spend some time with it every night out of the cage and soon it will bond with you and you won’t need to find a partner for it.

Your bird will die of loneliness if you do not find it a companion. They are called lovebirds bec they always come in twos. A male and a female. I suggest that You should do some research so you can take care of your pet the right way. Also your plants.. U need to be a green thumb if u want those to stay healthy. Learn when and how often to water them and where to place them in your place. But no feung seuy pls if u happen to see one. Just look for how to take care of birds accdg to their breeds. The same thing with plants. There are a lot of them on line. I just want your live companions to stay longer with you. 😊😊👍
