We travelled hundreds of miles for mickey, hes rare because hes never been ridden and is six years old! See our first meeting and getting him home!

I know exactly the feelings you’re experiencing buying a new horse with all the foundations you were looking for. Nothing like it. When you get a new buddy who hasn’t been trained by somebody else, that you can start almost from scratch is the best! Congratulations! Sounds like you’ve got yourself a great little guy.

What a find! He's so beautiful, intelligent, has a steady temperament & when he was being led so you could see his gait, he looked like he'll be a pleasure to ride as well, one day. I agree - he deserves a better name than "Mouse." He looks very sturdy yet is still graceful. He was quite curious so explored his new digs, & as you pointed out, confident. All great traits in anyone!

Just saw this video! Super nice! I recently lost my quarter horse of 18 years with him! He was stock or foundation QH! So kind and smart as a whip. He loved his cows! Talented feet and quick learner! Another brilliant and most important video! When adding a new member to the family, the hardest thing to do is to look past your excitement & the visuals and be prepared to WALK AWAY if you see something you don't like! Personality is everything! You can't work with any animal or person who is basically unreasonable and unwilling. It's the most important lesson I've ever learned: be prepared to walk away.

Ohhhh ... is there anything as wonderful as when the lead rope passes into your hands and you have a new horse? Was Micky born in the U.S.? The quarter horses I have known have been great family and trail horses, intelligent , sensible and willing to please, a joy to own and ride. It's hard to believe Micky is 7 and essentially untrained, isn't it? Congratulations to both of you, I can hardly wait to follow Micky in his great new home and watch as his talents develop!

I’ve had a quarter horse. Very solid strong horses. They are used for racing and fastest in 1/4 to 1/2 mile run. They generally have a lot of cow sense and are used as a preferred horse of cowboys. Excellent reining competition horses, just so athletic . Yours looks to have all that good sense. Cowboys and their horses are so trusting of each other. Please keep him always !

My Quarter horse Rex was the sweetest. He was 15 hands high, black, 5 years old, and a retired racing horse. He wasn’t very well trained, but he was a sweet horse and willing to learn. And he was fast as lightning and a lot of fun. He used to follow me around the pasture like a big dog. I was 15 years old at the time and had been riding since age 7 on two Arabians who were pretty mean to be honest. I really had to work a lot harder with the Arabians. Hope you enjoy the Quarter horse; they tend to be great horses.
