Meet new UNLV football coach Dan Mullen

Live in Vegas now. Kids and I UF Alumni. He helped Urban Meyer win National Championships, Won the SEC Championship. Winning records at Mississippi State and Florida. Very fun dynamic personality (maybe not for everyone.) Other Head Ball Coaches respect him as an Offensive Coaching (in game X's and O's genius). He is going to need a strong willed and smart Defensive Coordinator and Our Running Rebels will have the "recipe" for success. Las Vegas is becoming the go - to Sports Mecca. Dan the Man has got a plan for putting UNLV on the national map.

Similar. I’m born and raised in in Vegas. But family is from Mississippi. Parents both went to Mississippi State and I followed suit but grew up a diehard UNLV fan as well. I watched what he did with Dak and taking State to the first ever #1 CFP seed. This is a dream come true. Mullen’s problem has always been recruiting, but with NIL in play I think the sky is the limit for what he can do to elevate this program.

Love what I heard! Not to often do you lose a coach to another program, then end up with an upgrade, but i think that is exactly what happened here. I truly believe Dan Mullen is an excellent coach and will lead this team to new heights!

Congrats to UNLV President Whitfield, Athletic Director Harper, and the entire UNLV Team for getting Dan Mullen to UNLV!! Great hire with Dan Mullen!! Sorry to see Coach Odom go but he certainly left UNLV in great shape and, of course, Coach Tony Sanchez, for spearheading the construction of the Fertitta Football Complex that set UNLV up for all this!!

I was nervous once Barry left, but this just reinforces UNLV's committment to the football program. I hear they are bringing Ole Miss defensive coach! We are going to be the SEC of the MWC!

Dan Mullen, finish 1st every year in a watered-down MW, and get UNLV into the Big 12 in about 5 more years. UNLV should dominate in this new MW.
