Anaesthetists are awesome, ive had 2 operations in the past 3 months, and go into each with a major panic attack, but they always manage to put me at ease and feel 100% safe. Great people.

@@jeswin9829 You have to become a doctor if you want to be an anaesthetists - anaesthetists are doctors who have chosen to specialise in anaesthetics.

You can become an ODP and assist the anaesthetist in theatre if you didn't want to go down the dr route

No, - anaesthetists are doctors. Anaesthetists are specialists doctors just like surgeons, cardiologists and paediatricians.
