Meet #PHXPDSchoolResourceOfficer Valerie Rhodes. She is assigned to Barry Goldwater High School and has served as an SRO for three years and as a #PHXPD officer for 16 years.
Officer Rhodes started the police academy at age 39. Before that, she spent 14 years as a high school teacher and two years as a school administrator. This journey eventually led her to become a high school SRO. She finds great fulfillment in watching students grow and make a positive impact in their community.
