I opened an account about 4 months ago and the same day I received the card I tried to add it to Apple Pay. I’ve been calling/ emailing and sent Instagram DM’s for 4 MONTHS and have yet to reach anyone in customer service. I’ll be taking all my money out today and closing my account -- if I can reach anyone in customer service to help me close it. I don’t feel comfortable having my MONEY (livelihood) in a bank that has no customer service in case something goes wrong. I want so badly to bank Black - but this bank isn’t ready yet. I’ll revisit in 3-4 years from now to see if things have improved. Don’t say no one warned you.

Questions: 1. They charge $39 annual fee to keep the account active? 2. I've noticed you have to make a deposit of $50 to open the account. Do you have to keep your account balance at $50 or is it available to use? 3. Can you open a checking & a savings account with no monthly or annual fees?

There is also a $10.00 monthly charge if your balance of $500.00 is not maintained on your debit card? But if you have a direct deposit of a certain amounts. It is a start but for some they can not afford this. Thank you

This is nice, it is...but I held my pen to myself and opted not to complete a write-up on two platforms 1.) one local newspaper in LA and 2.) A popular long standing newswire for urban news and 3.) my own outlet. About 3wks ago I emailed about my experience to voice my concern and NOTHING. No response. No anything. PLEASE, please, do better. I don't want to share out loud the several things that went wrong that day, but know that we are rooting for you, but we still uphold a standard just like we do with other banks. Do you hear me? I hope so.

I regret opening my account with One United. They have a 1 star rating with the BBB for a reason. The customer service is nonexistent. The portal is outdated. I was excited to bank black but if they can't handle basic banking I refuse to open any credit accounts or home mortgages with them.

You can, by using the Green Dot method. But a green dot card at Walgreens and load it with the money you want to deposit. It’s takes less than 20 mins and the money is available immediately.

You can't pay your credit card but one time a month and they charge you a fee to pay. The comeback card sucks with a $39 annual fee.

Yes, you can have an account. The LA branches have a large number of Asian and Hispanic account holders. Pro-black doesn’t mean anti-white.
