Netflix has an awful habit of not advertising things well enough, I didn’t even hear of this reboot and the only reason it got recommended to me was cause I added the original to my list. Netflix literally did this to me with grand army and recommended it to me a year after it premiered (and legit 2 moths after it got officially cancelled!) I’m so happy I watched the reboot though because I am hoping for a season 2 and am glad to have added to the numbers!

@@Click4caroline just in Australia, I received no ads not only Netflix or new releases notifications or on KZbin or any social media. They really pushed it to you guys cause it’s an Aussie show

yes!! and then they cancel their other great shows (ianowt, teenage bounty hunters, everything sucks, etc) because there’s “not enough views” when didn’t even bother with advertising it in the first place

I watched this show with my 12yo daughter. She is a lesbian and autistic. I was able to skip the scenes that were “too much” for her age and then watch the rest with her and pause it to have amazing conversations and answer any questions she had. It was such a great experience! And through Quinny she finally felt understood. 👏🏻 Thank you to all the amazing actors on this show!!!

Does Netflix put up warnings for parental guidance for this show,I remembered when the ABC gave us Degrassi both original and the next generation new class ones they put up such things.Both were aimed at a similar age range.It's odd the generation that remembered the Junior High/High versions of that are todays forty almost fifty year old gang.What will the new age HH be like.

Didn't even realise this show was a thing until recently, why the heck don't Netflix advertise these shows better. The cast were incredible, the story line was incredible, it was funny at points, it was deep at points, it made me cry. Ashley Yasbincek was amazing. Got the biggest crush on Darren, they are gorgeous!

I actually liked the show and I am 40 so watched the original back to front. Loved it so much. ♥️🥳 The new show is very different but what I think I liked most about it was the fresh faces of the cast.

same, loved the original especially with Drazic and Dennis. I've never actually seen the film, the Heartbreak Kid which came out in 1993 and what the series was based on.

all these shows were based on a similar theme.the heartbreak high that led to heartbreak high was Australia's version of 32dd in Canada which lead to Ready or Not and came out over there also in 1993.
