Fun fact: It's actually an instinctual response in humans. All human cultures in history- including tribes that have no access to media or other people - automatically bring their voices up to a higher pitch when encountering babies. Apparently, the reason is that newborn humans are unable to hear below a C note. Somehow our DNA just knows this. So the next time you wonder how animals just 'know' how to treat their babies without having any actual knowledge, It's the same way we just somehow 'know' to raise our voices during silly baby talk even though most of us have no knowledge of the human baby's hearing ability. It's instinct.

If only the tourists would behave as you do with the elephants. Especially the fact that you stay in your vehicle; that you are quiet and calm, and give them their space. It’s a shame that tourists don’t study animal behaviour, at least a little, before they come into contact with any wildlife. They too, would then be able to see the signs that the elephants were giving, and act accordingly.

Calm down. Forest fires are part of the natural cycle. In fact, it's so normal it happens every year, everywhere.
@devonnemarcove51045 жыл бұрын
@@Oakeshott-ko8ig actually, with a regular forest fire, you are exactly right. Unfortunately, with a Rainforest, that does not apply. A Rainforest is totally different. It is self sustaining, which means it creates its own rain. After what scientists call the " tipping point", the protective canopy is burned away, and the ground dries out, which causes what is called " dieback". Once dieback begins, the Rainforest will become a Savannah or a desert. The Amazon regulated global rainfall, so once it is destroyed, drought and higher global temperatures will be the result. A Rainforest does not grow back like a regular forest. Before the thousands of man made fires this year, the Amazon was absorbing 86 BILLION TONS of carbon dioxide from the earths atmosphere a year. Now that the trees are destroyed, they will be putting all of that carbon back into the atmosphere. It was our greatest protection against global warming. Very sad and completely factual. The reason fires are started every year is for clearing land for cattle ranching and soy farming. Also illegal logging and illegal gold mining are huge issues. loggingBalsanero, the Brazilian president is allowing even the protected areas to be illegaly mined, logged and burned down. He has allowed indigenous tribes to die and actually is guilty for crimes against humanity. Alot of big money corporations are backing him. He and his regime should be arrested and removed from office. He has dismantled the environmental protection agencies that were in place for so many years. It is an absolute TRAVESTY to see an elephant on fire... So yes, it's going to have a global impact to lose the Amazon.
@Oakeshott-ko8ig5 жыл бұрын
@@devonnemarcove5104 The Amazon is not the "global rainfall regulator." Futhermore, the Amazon emits almost as much carbon dioxide as it absorbs. Beware the many falsehoods and half-truths being spread.

Now when the lions roll in poo, I know the reason why. I love your channel, and you are a god send to these beautiful cats and hyenas. ❤️👍🇺🇸

Your respect for the elephants actually made me tear up a little bit. It’s just such a beautiful thing, if only everybody could have so much mutual understanding with the animals they live with.

What a drive to work! Beats the heck out of my commute. Wouldn’t it be a far better world if everyone understood animal “language” as well as Kev? Elephants were quiet clear with their intentions, and no doubt appreciative of them being respected. Great video Kevin, many thanks for sharing. A notification “ding” from the lion whisperer always lift my day. Wish all a great weekend 👍

I smiled all the way through this video, seeing the lovely elephants, giraffes and hyenas, and then to see Thors group of beautiful lions, warmed my heart...I love Kevin for giving the lions the best life possible. To see the girls running free and playing with each other, and the boys rolling in poop, was so lovely to see..he is a wonderful man with endless energy and love for his precious animals..

The lions have such unique names. I love it! I am quite new to the channel, and I know you've heard this many times before, but I really appreciate the things you do for the animals. I enjoy each and every video this channel puts up. Much love from the Netherlands!

Kevin, you can do what you do because you have a gift rarely found in humans. You seem to actually have the ability to communicate with the lions, hyenas, elephants, leopards, etc. You have this other-worldly innate sense of eye contact and body language and sounds and respect and deference to their dominance. I've, we've known it all along but seeing your reaction to the elephants and the way they trust you and you respect them...man, it is a beautiful thing, a sight to behold. You are a special human being. And they know and we know it, too.

Your an amazing man and I so love what you do. Some kids may never know what a lion looks like, but with you doing the best of what you do then hopefully they will have seen a lion!! ❤❤

Tyler Holmstrom I still don’t really understand why they reused the name “Thor”. Do you know why?

@@mattwakefield4147 do you know why there's hundreds of thousands to millions of dudes named John in the world?

Austin Neveau I know what you mean but they reused the name after only a year on two similar white lions it’s kinda weird

I was wondering if my memory was playing tricks on me, if perhaps I'm psychic/remembering the future (jk) or if the name really is the same as a previous movie star white lion! Thx for solving the mystery for me & all, I guess...damn, there goes that potential fortune (psychic abilities = $$$$ 😁)

See that's what I love about Kevin! He is so respectful to animals and is why they all like him (plus they probably really enjoy the compliments). He is such a great ambassador for animal rights and is my go-to channel to recommend when speaking to someone about the issues animals in Africa are facing like lion bone trading or even the misrepresentation of hyenas to name a few. He explains everything very clearly and shows you how wonderful these animals are and how sad it would be if they were gone.
